On Sunday, December 20, the children of our Sunday School will present this year's Christmas program, "Theodore's Starry Night!" This will be performed at the 10:00 A.M. Service.

The 140^th Anniversary and Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Welcome Hall.

There will be a Polka Service starting at 9:30 a.m. with music by the Music Masters. Following the service there will be a time to visit along with a cake walk, silent auction, and children’s games.

A catered meal will be served from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The menu is brisket and sausage along with hot potatoes, sauerkraut, corn salad, bread and pickles. Ticket costs: Adults $8.00, –Children 6-12 $4.00, and children under 6 free. Tickets may be purchased at church and at the following locations: Industry State Bank, Welcome Store, or from a member of the festival committee.

We will have an anniversary cake, but if you would like to bring a dessert, please do. We will also have cookies and coffee available before and after the church service, along with water and lemonade during the day.

We will have sign-up sheets at church for those who would like to donate a silent auction item or a cake for the cake walk or help with the children games. We ask that each family bring a prize for Bingo. The silent auction and Bingo prizes can be left in the 3^rd & 4^th grade classroom (yellow) in the education building. Please indicate if the gift you bring is for Bingo or silent auction. We have two more events--volleyball and horseshoes.

If you have any old pictures from the church and would like to display, them we will have a table at Welcome Hall for them to be displayed.

Proceeds from the 140^th Anniversary and Fall Festival will go towards the Building Fund.

On June 28, the ladies of Welcome Lutheran Church Council and Call Committee hosted a Welcome Baby Shower for new baby Lila Klak, daughter of our Pastor and Rhonda Klak. Many fun games were played, and great food was shared. It was a beautiful way to share the joy of new life in our congregational family.
