WLC Scholarship

The scholarship application for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year is now closed. Please check back in early 2025 for next year's scholarship application.

The following information is provided as a reference:

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY MONDAY APRIL 1, 2024.

Scholarship recipients must be members of Welcome Lutheran Church. The scholarship will be payable directly to the institution and may be used at any college, university, Lutheran seminary, or trade school. Scholarship applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Participation at Welcome Lutheran Church
• Need
• Character/Integrity
• Scholastic Achievement (at least a 2.0 GPA)

A letter written by the applicant describing his/her educational goals, your need for this scholarship, and how this scholarship will help you attain your goals should accompany the scholarship application.

The completed scholarship applications must be returned to the Welcome Lutheran Church. You may complete the application using Adobe Acrobat Reader or by hand. Drop off in person, Mail, or Email the completed application and all attachments to:

A completed application will include:

1. Completed application form with student signature
2. Personal letter from applicant (essay)
3. Completed Extra Curricular Activity Sheet
4. High school transcript and/or college transcript
